Sunnybank Brass No.1

The No.1 Band is a B grade band and regularly competes at regional, state and national contests. The band also provides a busy schedule of entertainment engagements within the community. We invite interested players experienced at this musical level to apply for membership.

Sunnybank Brass No.2

The No.2 Band is currently a learners band.

Rehearsals

Visitors and new members are always welcome! Come along and participate or just listen. The band rehearsal hall is located at D. M. Henderson Park, 162 Granadilla Street, Macgregor at the far end of the Sunnybank Community and Sports Club car park. Map

Objectives

To promote the knowledge and love of music with good fellowship among band members.
To provide training of beginners and the continuing education of all players.
To provide music for public entertainment and to assist organisations with suitable presentations for their purposes.
To maintain membership of the Queensland Band Association and uphold its objectives of promoting the band movement.

Competition

Sunnybank Band actively encourages all its eligible bands to pursue competition participation as a means of constant improvement in musicianship and development at these interactive events.
Competition assists in enhancing musical skills and maintains high performance standards. This is the ideal platform for sharing the enjoyment of musical entertainment within our community.

Marching

All players are invited to rehearse marching drill as part of the bands overall objective when participating in competitions and when asked to perform in parades.
